LIGHTROOM PRESETS FOR DESKTOP & MOBILE

Presets are pre-saved sets of adjustments that allow you to quickly apply specific effects or styles to your photos. They simplify the editing process, ensuring a consistent style across a series of images. Using presets saves time and helps maintain visual coherence, especially on social media or in photo series.

Most presets are designed to work with RAW formats such as CR2 (Canon), NEF (Nikon), ORF (Olympus), ARW (Sony), and RAW (Fujifilm). A significant advantage of Presetrain Co. presets is that they work equally effectively with both RAW and JPEG images.

Method 1: Importing Presets

1. Launch Adobe Lightroom. In the Develop module, click the plus sign (+) in the Presets panel and select "Import Presets."
2. Select the preset files and click "Import." The presets will then appear in the Presets panel. Note that starting from version 7.3, preset file extensions changed from .lrtemplate to .xmp. Ensure that the presets you purchase are in a compatible format.

Method 2: Manual Installation (Copying to Folder)

1. Launch Adobe Lightroom. From the Lightroom menu (on Mac) or Edit menu (on Windows), select "Preferences." Then, go to the "Presets" tab and click "Show Lightroom Presets Folder." This will open the Camera Raw folder. Depending on your Lightroom version and settings, this folder may vary.
2. In the opened folder, locate the "Settings" subfolder and copy the preset files into it.
3. Restart Lightroom, and the presets will appear in the Presets panel within the Develop module.

You can install presets on your phone by copying the preset settings from a photo. Both Android and iOS devices are supported.

1. Install the Lightroom CC app on your phone.
2. Transfer the downloaded DNG files (which contain the settings to be applied) to your phone and open them in the Lightroom CC app.
3. Open the transferred photo. Tap the three dots and select "Copy Settings" or "Create Preset."
4. If you chose "Copy Settings," open any of your photos, tap the three dots again, and select "Paste Settings." The preset will be applied.
5. If you chose "Create Preset," you'll save the selected preset. Provide a name for the preset, choose a group for it, and confirm. This makes the preset easily accessible for future use.

Note that if you're using a licensed version of Adobe Lightroom on your computer (with a subscription), the process of using presets on your phone can be significantly simplified, as presets will sync automatically with the mobile version of Lightroom!

Installation:

1. Download the preset archive, locate it on your device, and unzip the ZIP file.
2. Copy the contents of the "Photoshop ACR" folder (the .xmp files; the folder name may vary slightly) to the following directory:

• For Mac: (username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings
• If the Library folder is hidden, press the Option key and select "Go" in the Finder menu to reveal it.
• For Windows: (username)\Application Data\Adobe\Camera Raw\Settings or C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Camera Raw\Settings

1. Ensure you copy only the preset files (.xmp) into the specified folder. Nested folders are not supported in Camera Raw.

Usage:

• For RAW files: Adobe Camera Raw launches automatically.
• For JPEG files: Open Adobe Photoshop, select "Open As," choose "Camera Raw" from the file type list, and select the images you want to open.
• The standard Adobe Camera Raw window will open in Photoshop.
• In the right-hand panel, select "Presets" (the penultimate tab).
• If you've already copied the presets into the "Settings" folder (see installation instructions), they will appear in this list.
• If the presets are not installed, click the menu icon (three lines) in the upper right corner of the Presets panel and select "Load Settings." Navigate to the preset file on your device. This will load and apply the selected preset, but you'll need to repeat this process manually for each subsequent preset. Therefore, it's recommended to install all presets in advance.
